As I said at the beginning of the post, I’m still something of a skeptic about the keto diet. I realize that a high protein and low carb diet is almost inevitably going to result in weight loss, but even though I’ve tried a number of keto recipes now (and liked most of them), I’m not sure that I could keep this up on a permanent basis.
I’m also not sure just how healthy doing this over a long period is going to be. I’ve been reading a lot of different medical opinions about keto, and the best I can conclude is that the jury is still out. There’s just not enough prolonged trials that have been done.
