The trend towards “grazing” has been gathering strength for a long while now and it’s proponents claim all sort of health and weight control benefits for it, but do they actually stack up?
The basic theory behind grazing is that we should attempt to eat twice as often, but with half the volume each time (and also that we should chew for twice as long). This according to the gurus much more closely mimics how our distant ancestors consumes their food, and as such it’s the way our bodies are designed to cope with.
It certainly sounds plausible, but then the world of weight control is littered with fad diets that haven’t stood up to thorough scrutiny. So what do the experts say?
