Many progressive employers these days have small gyms at work for their employees. If yours does then definitely make use of it.

If not, then it’s not difficult during a lunch break to squeeze in a few exercises that will help towards your general fitness. Try keeping small hand dumbbells or exercise tubing at your desk and squeezing in 12 to 15 reps of exercises like dumbbell curls, overhead presses and ab crunches; shoot for two or three sets of each.

Even if you’re not able to do this, then it’s always possible to do things like leg extensions while still sitting in your chair (extend you legs to the horizontal, hold for 15-20 seconds and repeat at least 5 times). They still help with muscle tone and strength.
